China to terminate antidumping duty on GOES steel exports from U.S.

China has announced it will terminate antidumping and countervailing duty tariffs on grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) exports from the U.S.

Two U.S. Senators applauded the decision, reports Steelmarketupdate.com.

“This announcement is great news for Ohio steel producers like AK Steel that have been harmed by unfair trade,” said U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. “Strong enforcement of trade laws is one of the best ways we can lift up America’s steel industry and its workers.”
