New India transformer market report announce

Ireland, Dublin: Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "Power and Distribution Transformer Market in India 2014 and 2020" report to their offering.

The report focuses on Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses and discusses recent reforms and programmes designed to address high AT&C losses, reports Business Wire.

In an earlier edition of the report it was estimated that over 400 GVA of transformer capacity out of the total installed capacity of 1040 GVA would require repair, retrofit or replacement (as of 2012) and the number is slated to increase to 1548 GVA by 2020 out of estimated installed base of 1548 GVA.

Overall, the need for a major revamp in the power evacuation infrastructure will drive the transformer industry in India over and above the new opportunity that will be required to support the increasing power generation capacity addition.
